6歳から12歳まで父親の転勤によりロンドンで生活。自分が外国人として二言語併用環境で育ったため、外国としての日本に接し第二言語として日本語を学ぶ人の役に立ちたいと思うようになる。大学在学中から日本語教師養成講座に通いはじめ、1998年、韓国の語学学校で日本語教師としてのキャリアを開始。
以来、中国、カンボジア等の専門学校や大学の他、日本国内の日本語学校、大学、企業等で、子どもから高齢者までさまざまな文化的背景と母語を持つ人に日本語を教える。

Junko Ueda lived in London from 6 years old to 12 years old due to her father's job. Her own experience growing up as a foreigner in a bilingual environment made her interested in helping people who get to know Japan as a foreign country and learn Japanese as a second language. While studying at university she took a training course of teaching Japanese language, and started working as a Japanese teacher in 1998 at a language school in South Korea.
Since then, she has been teaching Japanese to people with various backgrounds and mother tongues from kids to elderly, at technical schools and universities in China, Cambodia, etc and at language schools, universities, companies in Japan.
